About Crowlspace

Who am I? Currently I am a volunteer Designer for “Project Icarus”, the sequel to the 1970s “Project Daedalus”, which designed in detail an interstellar probe using near-term and extrapolated technology. We’re trying to update the 1970s technology assumptions and employ what has been learnt about nuclear fusion, computer science, materials and interstellar travel since then.

Crowlspace isn’t just a “Project Icarus” outlet. I keep my “Icarus” contributions at the “Icarus” web-site…

…and make the occasional mention here. Crowlspace is about independent research of interesting items which don’t get a detailed explanation or exploration in the mainstream science media. A Deep Future View. So if you like my speculations and explorations, then please support my efforts by making a small contribution.

  1. Dear Adam,

My name is Gabrielle Pedriani, and I work at CBS News in Washington, DC.

I’ve been conducting some research into helium-3 on the moon, and I’ve noticed that you have some very strong viewpoints concerning this matter.

I would love to speak with you about what you know, and about why you believe that mining the moon for helium-3 is not yet economically feasible. I would also be interested in hearing what you believe to be the next best thing: how can we utilize space most efficiently?

You can reach me by e-mail at pedrianig@cbsnews.com, or by telephone at 202-457-1526.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,
    Best,

    Gabrielle
